Language proficiency and appropriate skills are important in Japan, concludes the recent seminar.
Now that most of the students are seeking to go abroad for higher studies, they are flocking to many consultancies for counselling and guidance. Across Nepal, many institutions and consultancies offer their services to cater to the student’s needs but mostly miss to inform them about the nitty gritty of their visiting country.
To inform the students about the minute details and the inner workings of Japan, Mirai successfully organized a seminar in association with Mr. Kamal Banstola, a central member of NRNA Japan and a prominent member of IHNO-Japan. Mr. Banstola has been living in Japan for the past 15 years and actively working on the welfare of International Students from different parts of the world like China, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Nepal and many others. Soft-spoken, honest and polite by nature, he shared many personal encounters experienced initially by him as a foreign student in Japan. He emphasized the importance of the Japanese language and the ability to work hard are two key points for a successful stay in Japan.
Furthermore, Mr Banstola advised students to choose courses for their higher studies to be in line with the current course they have completed and select their field of work accordingly. He further added that students should not hurry to find work, which leads to unsuccessful collaboration with employers adding to the woes of students. He said a positive mindset is a key to success and in the case of rejection, he encouraged students not to be saddened by some setbacks and to reapply after correcting the previous mistakes. The seminar concluded with the answers to the queries of students, which highlights the need to achieve language proficiency and appropriate skills for a smoother transition to the Japanese lifestyle is a better way of approach for both students and workers.
“We have worked hard to come up with the solutions for student’s dilemmas, and often organize such events for their benefit, having participants enjoy and learn from what the presenters have to give is the sign of the success for those seminars,” said Mr. Surendra Baral, Managing Director of Mirai International Educational Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.
